AC/DC to australijska grupa hard rockowa, założona w 1973 roku w Sydney przez braci Malcolma i Angusa Younga. Kapela należy do pionierów hard rocku i heavy metalu, choć sami muzycy określają swój styl jako rock 'n' roll.
Album Live at River Plate ukazał się w 2012 roku nakładem wytwórni Columbia jako zapis koncertu z trasy Black Ice World Tour. Nagranie powstało 4 grudnia 2009 roku na stadionie River Plate w Buenos Aires i oferuje 19 utworów na trzech kolorowych LP, wśród nich klasyki takie jak Highway to Hell, Thunderstruck, Back in Black czy niemal osiemnastominutowe Let There Be Rock.
W chwili wydania albumu skład AC/DC tworzyli Brian Johnson (wokal), Angus Young (gitara), Malcolm Young (gitara, wokale wspierające) oraz Cliff Williams (gitara basowa, wokale wspierające).
