Ace of Base to szwedzki zespół popowy z Göteborga, który zasłynął w latach dziewięćdziesiątych charakterystycznym stylem pop-reggae. Zespół jest często porównywany do grupy ABBA. Pierwotnie tworzyli go rodzeństwo Jonas, Jenny i Linn Berggren wraz z Ulfem Ekbergiem.
Trzypłytowe kompilacyjne wydanie Gold z 2019 roku na CD gromadzi 46 nagrań z dorobku zespołu. Pierwsza płyta prezentuje najbardziej znane przeboje, takie jak The Sign, All That She Wants, Beautiful Life, Wheel of Fortune czy Don't Turn Around. Druga płyta przynosi remiksy i alternatywne wersje, między innymi The Sign (The remix) i Life Is a Flower (Soul Poets Night club mix). Album ukazał się nakładem wytwórni Crimson.
W czasie wydania albumu zespół tworzyli Jenny Berggren (lead vocals), Jonas Berggren, Ulf Ekberg i Julia Williamson (lead vocals).
