Ayreon to muzyczny projekt holenderskiego multiinstrumentalisty Arjena Lucassena, który łączy progressive metal z operami rockowymi. Każdy album przedstawia unikalną sci-fi lub fantasy opowieść z różnymi wokalistami w poszczególnych rolach.
Kompilacja 30th Anniversary - An Amazing Flight Through Time ukazała się na czerwonym winylu z okazji trzydziestolecia projektu. Potrójne wydanie winylowe zawiera wybór utworów z całej dyskografii Lucassena, w tym Dream Sequencer, Into the Black Hole, The Theory of Everything czy Sail Away To Avalon. Materiał dokumentuje ewolucję Ayreonu od debiutu The Final Experiment z 1995 roku po dzień dzisiejszy.
