Dr. John (właściwie Malcolm John Rebennack Jr., 1941–2019) był amerykańskim wokalistą, pianistą i autorem piosenek, którego muzyka łączyła blues, jazz, funk, boogie woogie i rock and roll. Laureat sześciu nagród Grammy i od 2011 roku członek Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, kontynuował bogatą tradycję nowoorleańską u boku Professora Longhaira.
Kompilacja Dr. John: The Montreux Years (Live) została wydana w 2023 roku przez wytwórnię BMG i dokumentuje występy Rebennacka na słynnym festiwalu w szwajcarskim Montreux w latach 1986–2012.
