Austriacka teorbistka, dyrygentka i założycielka zespołu L'Arpeggiata Christina Pluhar kontynuuje serię swoich „programowych” albumów, a najnowszy nosi tytuł Terra Mater, który według słów autorki jest celebracją natury.
Album łączy programową muzykę barokową z folklorem i improwizacją. Jak sama Christina Pluhar mówi, „ten wspaniały program jest jakby wystawiony na działanie czterech wiatrów, w których usłyszycie śpiew słowików i świergot innych ptaszków, kukanie kukułek, rechot żab i piski kurcząt, szept wiatrów, grzmot burz i szum mórz.” Gościem i solistką nagrania jest szwedzka mezzosopranistka Malena Ernman.
