Faith No More to amerykański zespół rockowy z San Francisco, założony na początku lat 80. Grupa zasłynęła z fuzji różnych stylów – od crossoveru i alternatywnego metalu po funk i hardcore punk.
Podwójny album King for a Day… Fool for a Lifetime ukazał się 13 marca 1995 roku nakładem wytwórni Slash i Reprise Records jako piąty album studyjny zespołu. Była to pierwsza płyta nagrana bez długoletniego gitarzysty Jima Martina; jego miejsce zajął tymczasowo Trey Spruance. Krążek prezentuje szeroką paletę gatunków – od punku (Get Out, Digging the Grave), grunge'u (Ricochet) i soulu (Evidence) przez big band (Star A.D.) aż po country rock (Take This Bottle) i gospel (Just a Man). Magazyn Rolling Stone scharakteryzował album jako „mieszankę gatunków”. Z albumu pochodzą trzy single: Digging the Grave, Ricochet i Evidence. Ta winylowa reedycja zawiera 22 utwory na dwóch płytach winylowych.
W czasie wydania albumu w skład zespołu wchodzili Mike Patton (wokal), Trey Spruance i Dean Menta (gitary), Billy Gould (gitara basowa), Roddy Bottum (instrumenty klawiszowe) oraz Mike Bordin (perkusja).
