Brytyjska grupa new wave New Order powstała w 1980 roku w Salfordzie po śmierci wokalisty Iana Curtisa, którą założyli pozostali członkowie legendarnych Joy Division — Bernard Sumner, Peter Hook i Stephen Morris, wkrótce dołączyła do nich keyboardzistka Gillian Gilbert. Zespół stał się znaczącym przedstawicielem nurtu new wave z wyraźnym potencjałem komercyjnym i fascynującą umiejętnością łączenia post-punku z elektroniką.
Album Best Of And The Rest Of na czterech CD mapuje bogatą drogę zespołu od post-punkowych początków do pozycji pionierów elektronicznej muzyki tanecznej. Pierwsza płyta prezentuje klasyczne hity, w tym Blue Monday (najlepiej sprzedający się dwunastocalowy singel wszech czasów), True Faith, Bizarre Love Triangle czy Regret.
