The Fragile to trzeci album studyjny Nine Inch Nails, wydany we wrześniu 1999 roku przez wytwórnię Nothing Records na dwóch płytach CD w digipaku. Nagrywany był w latach 1997–1999 w Nowym Orleanie pod okiem Trenta Reznora oraz brytyjskiego producenta Alana Mouldera, długoletniego współpracownika zespołu. Album zawiera 23 utwory, wśród których wyróżniają się The Day the World Went Away, We're in This Together, Into the Void i Starfuckers, Inc., wydane jako single. Bogaty materiał dźwiękowy łączy elektroniczne rytmy, ambientowe przestrzenie i ciężkie brzmienie gitar.
W momencie wydania albumu skład tworzyli Trent Reznor (wokal), Danny Lohner, Charlie Clouser, Keith Hillebrandt, Dave Ogilvie i Jerome Dillon.
