The Alan Parsons Project to brytyjska grupa progresywno-rockowa, aktywna w latach 1975–1990, założona przez producenta i inżyniera dźwięku Alana Parsonsa oraz kompozytora Erica Woolfsona. Projekt funkcjonował głównie jako formacja studyjna, z udziałem zmieniających się muzyków sesyjnych, i odniósł znaczący sukces zwłaszcza w Ameryce Północnej i Europie kontynentalnej.
Kompilacja The Dutch Collection ukazała się w 2006 roku nakładem wytwórni Arista jako dwupłytowy album CD z 34 nagraniami. Kolekcja prezentuje przekrój twórczości grupy — od progresywnych epickich kompozycji, takich jak I Robot czy In the Lap of the Gods, po hitowe Eye in the Sky i Games People Play. Nie zabrakło tu także kultowego instrumentalu Sirius oraz nastrojowego utworu Old and Wise. Kompilacja uchwyciła unikalne brzmienie grupy, łączące rock progresywny, syntetyzatorowe tekstury i literacko inspirowane koncepcje.
