Soilwork to szwedzka grupa melodic death metalowa założona w 1995 roku pod nazwą Inferior Breed. Zespół wywodzi się z göteborgskiej sceny metalowej, na której wyrosły również takie formacje jak Dark Tranquillity, At the Gates czy In Flames. Ich muzyka łączy klasyczne elementy death metalu z melodyjnym podejściem i power groove.
The Ride Majestic to dziesiąty studyjny album zespołu, wydany w sierpniu 2015 roku przez wytwórnię Nuclear Blast. Album zawiera 11 utworów, w tym utwór tytułowy oraz Alight in the Aftermath, Death in General czy finałowy Father and Son, Watching the World Go Down. Album jest istotny, ponieważ po raz ostatni wystąpił na nim długoletni perkusista Dirk Verbeuren, który opuścił zespół w lipcu 2016 roku.
Na albumie wystąpili Björn Strid (wokal), Dirk Verbeuren (perkusja), Sven Karlsson (instrumenty klawiszowe), Sylvain Coudret i David Andersson (gitary) oraz basiści Ola Flink i Markus Wibom.
