The Stranglers to angielska grupa rockowa z Guildfordu, założona w 1974 roku. Należy do najdłużej aktywnych zespołów wywodzących się z brytyjskiej sceny punkowej. Ich brzmienie wyróżnia charakterystyczne użycie klawiszy i połączenie punk rocka z new wave oraz post-punkiem.
Kompilacja Original Album Series ukazała się w 2015 roku nakładem wytwórni Parlophone i zawiera pięć albumów studyjnych ze złotej ery zespołu. Wśród 55 utworów w tym boksie znajdziemy debiutancki album Rattus Norvegicus z 1977 roku, który wprowadził The Stranglers na brytyjską scenę, a następnie kolejne wydawnictwa do początku lat osiemdziesiątych. Znajdziemy tu utwory takie jak Tank, Nice n' Sleazy, The Raven czy Hanging Around.
W 2015 roku skład zespołu tworzyli Jet Black, Jean-Jacques Burnel, Dave Greenfield, Baz Warne i John Ellis.
