Vanden Plas to niemiecki zespół progressive metalowy z Kaiserslautern, założony w 1986 roku. Grupa wokół wokalisty Andreasa Kuntza zdobyła międzynarodową renomę i cieszy się niemal kultowym statusem, zwłaszcza we Francji.
Album Accult 2 na CD oferuje osiem nagrań, wśród których wyróżniają się coverowe wersje klasycznych utworów — Boat On The River (oryginalnie Styx) oraz Nothing Else Matters (Metallica). W nagraniu You Fly gościnnie występuje saksofonista John Helliwell. Zespół pozostaje wierny swojemu emocjonalnemu brzmieniu progressive metalu z melancholijnym odcieniem i ekspresyjnym podejściem.
