Blind Guardian to niemiecki zespół power metalowy założony w 1985 roku, który wraz z Helloween należy do pionierów gatunku. Początkowo działał pod nazwą Lucifer's Heritage, obecną nazwę przyjął w 1987 roku.
The God Machine to dwunasty studyjny album zespołu wydany 2 września 2022 roku przez wytwórnię Nuclear Blast. Jest to pierwszy album studyjny Blind Guardian od siedmiu lat, od czasu wydania Beyond the Red Mirror (2015), co stanowi najdłuższą przerwę między dwoma studyjnymi albumami w karierze zespołu. Podwójne CD zawiera 21 utworów, w tym instrumentalne wersje wszystkich utworów z pierwszego dysku. Wśród kluczowych kompozycji znajdują się Deliver Us From Evil, niemal siedmiminutowy Secrets of the American Gods czy Blood of the Elves. Drugi dysk oferuje również alternatywne wersje – Life Beyond the Spheres w cyber miksie oraz Destiny w wersji gitarowej.
