Cypress Hill to amerykańska grupa hip-hopowa z South Gate w Kalifornii, założona w 1988 roku. Należy do głównych przedstawicieli west coast hip-hopu i jest pierwszą latynoamerykańską formacją, która osiągnęła platynowe i multi-platynowe certyfikaty — sprzedała ponad 20 milionów albumów na całym świecie. Grupa znana jest również z otwartego poparcia dla legalizacji marihuany, a w 2019 roku jako pierwsza formacja hip-hopowa otrzymała gwiazdę na Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Kompilacja Original Album Classics ukazała się w 2008 roku nakładem wytwórni Columbia jako box set w opakowaniu typu slipcase z 5 CD w kartonowych kopertach. Zawiera 76 utworów z czterech pierwszych studyjnych albumów grupy (Cypress Hill z 1991, Black Sunday z 1993 i dwa kolejne) oraz szósty album Temples of Boom, przy czym podwójny album Skull & Bones został pominięty. Zestaw oferuje kompleksowy przegląd złotej ery twórczości zespołu, cenionej przez krytyków zwłaszcza za trzy przełomowe płyty z pierwszej połowy lat dziewięćdziesiątych.
W czasie wydania boxu grupę tworzyli B-Real, DJ Muggs, Sen Dog i Eric Correa.
