Dio był amerykańskim heavymetalowym zespołem, który w 1982 roku założył wokalista Ronnie James Dio wspólnie z perkusistą Vinnym Appicem po ich odejściu z Black Sabbath. Zespół wydał dziesięć albumów studyjnych i sprzedał ponad 20 milionów płyt na całym świecie. Po śmierci Ronnie Jamesa Dio w 2010 roku grupa zakończyła działalność.
Dio At Donington '87 na podwójnym winylu utrwala występ zespołu na festiwalu Donington w 1987 roku. Nagranie zawiera kultowe utwory jak Holy Diver, Rainbow in the Dark, Heaven and Hell i The Last in Line. Edycja limitowana jest wydana ze specjalną okładką lentikularną.
