Dream Theater to amerykańska grupa progressive metalowa, założona w 1985 roku w Bostonie. Należy do najważniejszych przedstawicieli gatunku i jest znana z wirtuozowskiej gry, złożonych kompozycji oraz połączenia heavy metalowego brzmienia z rockiem progresywnym.
Album koncertowy New York City 3/4/93 na LP utrwala występ z marca 1993 roku w Nowym Jorku i został wydany przez wytwórnię Inside Out Music w 2007 roku. Nagranie zawiera 15 utworów, w tym Metropolis – Pt. I: The Miracle and the Sleeper, Pull Me Under, Take the Time czy niemal dwudziestominutowy A Change of Seasons. Album dokumentuje brzmienie zespołu w klasycznym okresie po sukcesie Images and Words.
