Wbrew nazwie zespół nie ma nic wspólnego z death metalem – gra garage rock i rock alternatywny z dużą dozą humoru. Homme znany jest również jako członek Queens of the Stone Age.
Album EODM Presents: Boots Electric Performing the Best Songs We Never Wrote ukazał się w 2019 roku na CD nakładem wytwórni UMe i zawiera trzynaście utworów. To album coverów znanych hitów – od God of Thunder przez High Voltage / It's a Long Way to the Top, Careless Whisper aż po Moonage Daydream. Zespół eksperymentuje z różnymi gatunkami od rocka po funk i disco.
