Fleetwood Mac to jeden z najważniejszych zespołów rockowych w historii. Brytyjsko-amerykańska grupa założona w Londynie w 1967 roku przeszła szereg zmian personalnych i stylistycznych – od wczesnego bluesa przez country rock po popowy mainstream lat siedemdziesiątych. Jedynym stałym członkiem od powstania był perkusista Mick Fleetwood.
Podwójny album Live ukazał się na 3 CD 5 grudnia 1980 roku nakładem wytwórni Warner Records jako pierwsze oficjalne nagranie koncertowe ówczesnego składu zespołu. Nowo zremasterowane wydanie rozszerzyło oryginalny podwójny album o kolejną godzinę niewydanego dotąd materiału – łącznie 33 utwory ukazują Fleetwood Mac u szczytu formy. Wśród wyróżniających się piosenek są Dreams, Rhiannon, Go Your Own Way czy Sara. Album otrzymał złotą certyfikację RIAA w listopadzie 1981 roku.
Na albumie występuje pięcioosobowy skład: Mick Fleetwood (perkusja), John McVie (gitara basowa), Christine McVie (instrumenty klawiszowe, wokale), Lindsey Buckingham (gitara, instrumenty klawiszowe, wokale) oraz Stevie Nicks (wokale).
