Ich muzyka łączy elementy klasycznej kompozycji, jazzu i hard rocku, kładąc nacisk na instrumentalne wykonanie i wirtuozerię. Międzynarodowe uznanie zdobyli głównie dzięki utworom takim jak Hocus Pocus i Sylvia.
Kompilacja 50 Years: Anthology 1970–1976 ukazała się w 2020 roku nakładem wytwórni Red Bullet i obejmuje kluczowy okres twórczości zespołu na dziewięciu CD ze 102 utworami. Box zawiera materiał z pierwszych pięciu albumów studyjnych wraz z wersjami koncertowymi – od wczesnych eksperymentów przez przełomowy Moving Waves (z hitami Hocus Pocus i Eruption) po złożone Focus III i Anonymus II. Kolekcja dokumentuje erę, gdy Focus należał do najważniejszych europejskich formacji progresywno-rockowych i sprzedał ponad milion albumów certyfikowanych przez RIAA w USA.
W czasie wydania tego boxu skład tworzyli Udo Pannekeet na gitarze basowej i Jo De Roeck.
