Iron Maiden to brytyjscy pionierzy new wave of British heavy metal, założeni przez basistę Steve'a Harrisa w 1975 roku. Swoim charakterystycznym dwugitarowym brzmieniem oraz ikonicznym talizmanem Eddiem wpłynęli na kolejne pokolenia zespołów metalowych.
The Book of Souls: Live Chapter ukazało się w 2017 roku nakładem wytwórni Parlophone jako dwupłytowe CD. Nagranie dokumentuje trasę koncertową promującą album The Book of Souls z lat 2016–2017, która objęła sześć kontynentów w 39 krajach, przyciągając ponad 2,8 miliona widzów. Producent Tony Newton zestawił 15 utworów z koncertów w Japonii, Brazylii, Argentynie, Australii, Polsce, Kanadzie, Irlandii, Włoszech oraz na festiwalach w Donington i Wacken. Repertuar obejmuje klasyki (The Trooper, Fear of the Dark, The Number of the Beast) oraz nowsze kompozycje Speed of Light czy Death or Glory.
Na trasie występowali Steve Harris na gitarze basowej, klawiszach i chórkach, Nicko McBrain na perkusji oraz Janick Gers na gitarze.
