Album Power, Corruption & Lies ukazał się pierwotnie w maju 1983 nakładem wytwórni Factory Records jako drugi studyjny album zespołu. W porównaniu z debiutem Movement (1981) przedstawia wyraźniejszy odklon ku elektronicznemu brzmieniu z intensywniejszym użyciem syntezatorów. Został włączony do listy 100 najlepszych albumów lat osiemdziesiątych magazynu Rolling Stone i serwisu Pitchfork. Ten kolekcjonerski box na pięciu CD oferuje oprócz oryginalnego nagrania szereg rzadkich materiałów z ówczesnych sesji, alternatywne miksy i publikację ilustrowaną.
