Ragnarok to norweska grupa black metalowa założona w 1994 roku w Sarpsborgu. Nazwa nawiązuje do staronordyjskiego Ragnarök – proroczej ostatecznej bitwy bogów i olbrzymów. W tekstach dominują motywy mitologii wikingów, satanizmu i wojny.
Album Arising Realm z 1996 roku ukazał się nakładem wytwórni Head Not Found i zawiera 12 utworów, w tym God Is Wasted, Searching for My Dark Desire oraz końcowy, siedmiominutowy utwór The Predicted Future. To wczesne dzieło zespołu określanego jako jedna z najbardziej ekstremalnych formacji black metalowych w Norwegii.
