Ram Jam to amerykańska grupa rockowa aktywna w latach 70., najbardziej znana z hitu Black Betty z 1977 roku. Zespół założył gitarzysta Bill Bartlett, wcześniej członek grupy The Lemon Pipers, wraz z wokalistą Mykiem Scavonem, perkusistą Petem Charlesem i basistą Howiem Arthurem Blauveltem.
The Very Best Of ukazało się w 1990 roku nakładem wytwórni Epic i zawiera dwadzieścia utworów na jednym CD. Kompilacja łączy nagrania z pierwszego i drugiego albumu zespołu, a oprócz słynnej Black Betty zawiera także inne rockowe utwory, takie jak Let It All Out, All for the Love of Rock'n'Roll czy Saturday Night.
