Seether to amerykański zespół rockowy, który powstał w 1999 roku w południowoafrykańskiej Pretorii i od przeprowadzki do USA nagrywa dla tamtejszych wytwórni. Gra metal alternatywny z wpływami post-grunge i hard rocku, jego brzmienie porównywane jest do Alice in Chains czy Soundgarden.
Album Poison the Parish ukazał się w maju 2017 nakładem Canine Riot Records/Concord Music Group i jest pierwszą płytą grupy z nowym logo na okładce. Zawiera 15 utworów, w tym single Let You Down, Betray and Degrade i Against the Wall. Przed oficjalną premierą albumu wydano także utwory Stoke the Fire, Nothing Left i Count Me Out.
Na nagraniu występuje trzyosobowy skład: Shaun Morgan (wokal i gitara), Dale Stewart (gitara basowa) i John Humphrey (perkusja).
