Thunder to pięcioosobowy zespół hard-rockowy z Wielkiej Brytanii, założony w 1989 roku, gdy wokalista Danny Bowes, gitarzysta Luke Morley i perkusista Gary „Harry” James opuścili formację Terraplane. W latach dziewięćdziesiątych grupa zyskała popularność głównie w Anglii, a także w Japonii.
Behind Closed Doors ukazało się w styczniu 1995 roku nakładem wytwórni Parlophone UK jako trzeci album studyjny zespołu. Album, nagrany między majem a sierpniem 1994 w różnych studiach, przede wszystkim w Southern Tracks w Atlancie, wyprodukował Luke Morley wspólnie z Mikiem Fraserem. Wśród 13 utworów znajdziemy wyraziste hard-rockowe kompozycje, takie jak Moth to the Flame, Fly on the Wall, River of Pain czy koncertowe nagranie Low Life in High Places. Wśród fanów hard rocka płyta ta uznawana jest za klasykę gatunku.
