Aerosmith to amerykański zespół hard rockowy z Bostonu, założony w 1970 roku. Ich styl wywodzi się z blues rocku z elementami pop rocku, rhythm and blues oraz heavy metalu. Duet kompozytorski Steven Tyler i Joe Perry bywa określany jako „Toxic Twins”, a sam zespół jako „The Bad Boys from Boston” lub „America's Greatest Rock and Roll Band”.
Kompilacja Young Lust: The Aerosmith Anthology ukazała się w 2001 roku w wytwórni Geffen Records na 2 CD i obejmuje twórczość zespołu z okresu między albumami Done with Mirrors a Get a Grip. Zawiera 34 utwory — oprócz albumowych wersji hitów takich jak Janie's Got a Gun, Love in an Elevator, Livin' on the Edge czy Cryin' także rzadkie B-side'y, alternatywne wersje (akustyczna Livin' on the Edge, orkiestrowa Amazing) oraz nagrania koncertowe. W 2005 roku antologia została wydana ponownie pod tytułem Gold z inną okładką.
W nagraniach wzięli udział Steven Tyler (wokal, harmonijka, fortepian), Tom Hamilton (gitara basowa) oraz Joey Kramer (perkusja).
