Alphaville to niemiecki zespół synthpopowy założony w 1982 roku w mieście Münster. Nazwę zaczerpnął od tytułowego filmu Jean-Luca Godarda z 1965 roku, Alphaville, zdobył sławę hitami Big In Japan, Forever Young czy Sounds Like a Melody.
Prostitute to czwarty album studyjny wydany 26 sierpnia 1994 roku przez wytwórnię WEA. Płyta stanowi stylowe przejście od charakterystycznego brzmienia klawiszowego w stronę bardziej rockowych aranżacji. Zawiera 16 utworów, w tym Fools, The Impossible Dream czy prawie siedmiominutową Euphoria. Winylowa edycja zawiera 24-stronicowy booklet.
