DevilDriver to grupa z kalifornijskiej Santa Barbary założona w 2002 roku, która gra melodic death metal z elementami groove metalu. Zespół powstał z inicjatywy wokalisty Deza Fafary, znanego z wcześniejszego działania w Coal Chamber.
Kompilacja Clouds Over California ukazała się w 2022 roku nakładem wytwórni BMG i zawiera na pięciu CD albumy studyjne, które grupa nagrała dla legendarnej wytwórni Roadrunner w latach 2003–2011. Kolekcja obejmuje łącznie 60 utworów i oferuje pełny obraz pierwszego, najbardziej płodnego okresu twórczości zespołu. Znalazły się tu takie kompozycje jak Revelation Machine, Hold Back the Day czy Not All Who Wander Are Lost, które określiły brzmienie grupy łączące agresywny death metal z melodyjnymi elementami.
W czasie wydania oryginalnych albumów skład tworzyli Dez Fafara (wokal prowadzący), Michael Spreitzer i Alex Lee (gitary elektryczne), Ashes (gitara basowa), Austin D'Amond (perkusja) oraz Christopher Towning.
