Metal Church to amerykański zespół thrash-metalowy założony w 1980 roku, uważany za pionierów thrash metalu, speed metalu i power metalu. Wywodzą się z seattleńskiej sceny heavymetalowej lat 80., dwa z ich pierwszych trzech albumów znalazły się w Top 100 listy Billboard 200.
Congregation of Annihilation to ich trzynasty album studyjny, wydany w 2023 roku przez wytwórnię Reaper Entertainment. Jest to pierwsza płyta z nowym wokalistą Marcem Lopesem, wyprodukował ją członek założyciel grupy, gitarzysta Kurdt Vanderhoof. Muzycznie jest to powrót do korzeni, gdzieś w stronę legendarnego albumu The Dark z 1986 roku. Album zawiera 11 utworów, wśród których wyróżniają się tytułowy Congregation of Annihilation, Pick a God and Prey czy Children of the Lie.
