New Order to kluczowy przedstawiciel new wave i post-punku. Zespół założyli w 1980 roku pozostali członkowie legendarnego Joy Division po tragicznej śmierci wokalisty Iana Curtisa. W początkach swojej działalności łączyli post-punk z elektroniką, później eksperymentowali z nowoczesnymi technologiami i rytmami tanecznymi. Ich singiel Blue Monday z 1983 roku pozostaje najlepiej sprzedającym się dwunastocalowym singlem wszech czasów.
Album koncertowy Education Entertainment Recreation ukazał się w 2021 roku nakładem wytwórni Warner Music na podwójnym CD. Zawiera 21 utworów zarejestrowanych podczas jedynego brytyjskiego koncertu grupy w 2018 roku, który odbył się w londyńskiej Alexandra Palace. Setlista obejmuje klasyki takie jak Blue Monday, True Faith, Bizarre Love Triangle, a także utwory z ery Joy Division (Love Will Tear Us Apart, Atmosphere) oraz nowsze kompozycje w rodzaju Singularity.
